Florida Traffic School Option
| If you have decided that traffic school is
what you want to do - great! It is the one option that
you can do without the benefit of an attorney and still
guarantee no points on your Florida license (out-of-state
licenses fall under their state's laws). When you
elect to take a driving school
be sure to contact the Clerk of Court in the county in which
you received the ticket. The Clerk must "allow" you to
make this election. The Clerk will also check to make
sure you are eligible. Payment for your ticket will be due immediately. The election to take a traffic school must be made with 30 days of receipt of the traffic ticket. After you make the election to take a traffic school you will have 90 days to complete the school and provide proof to the Clerk that you successfully completed the class. Do not miss this due date for your traffic school certificate. If you cannot make it we can ask the court for additional time - just call us. If you fail to finish the class within the 90 days your license could be suspended or an adjudication could be entered requiring that the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles assess points against your license. If you are not eligible to "elect" the traffic ticket school option - because of prior school elections, you hold a CDL license, or the infraction does not allow traffic school - you can hire us to handle your ticket. Not all traffic school classes are online, notably the Arrive Alive class and the 8-Hour Aggressive/Street Racing class are not online.
