Orlando Criminal Lawyer Since 1995

Orlando criminal defense lawyer Eric Dirga has been practicing criminal and traffic defense and criminal record expungements since 1995.   Since 2002, his office has been helping people charged with criminal offenses and traffic offenses defend and then expunge their criminal records.

In addition, he has helped over a thousand people qualify and seal or expunge their criminal record. His practice provides statewide representation. He has been before many of the state’s courts arguing for the granting of this relief. He has dedicated his office to this pursuit as his primary legal practice.

As a youth, Eric Dirga volunteered as an auxiliary deputy sheriff in Brevard County from 1982 thru 1984. He attended Brevard Community College from 1982 to 1983.
Although his time was limited, he learned an enormous amount of information about law enforcement, bad actors, and the legal system.
In 1984, Eric Dirga joined the United States Army. He went to basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and AIT at Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas.
Eric Dirga attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. The Defense Language Institute is a United States Department of Defense educational and research institution consisting of two separate entities which provide linguistic and cultural instruction to the Department of Defense, other Federal Agencies and numerous customers around the world. The instructors were all native speakers, many were refugees/escapees (survivors) of communist governments. He successfully completed the 47 week Czech language course.
He was stationed in California, Texas, and Germany and was a member of the 504th MI BGE. As a member of the Military Intelligence Corps, he prepared Division assets heading for the National Training Center where they faced units trained in Soviet battlefield tactics.
He participated in Reforger 1987 “Certain Strike.” Upon his Honorable Discharge he was awarded the United States Army Commendation Medal.
Eric Dirga attended and graduated the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1991 and a Juris Doctorate in 1995.
He continues to study history in his spare time.
Upon graduating law school, he was immediately hired by the State Attorney’s Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He was a prosecutor in misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony courts.
Eric Dirga opened his own law practice in 2002 focusing on Criminal and Traffic Defense and Criminal Record Expungements.

Eric J. Dirga is a member of the Florida Bar, in good standing, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeal in Atlanta and a member of the United States Supreme Court.
Today, Eric Dirga continues to represent people facing criminal and traffic related charges and focuses on helping people clear their criminal records so that they can successfully move on in life.
